A Sensing Circle

A SENSING CIRCLE

Somatic Release, Nervous System Regulation & Embodiment Practices

Tuesday mornings 8:00 am pst

Our bodies are exquisitely designed instruments:  strong, resilient, adaptable and sensitive.  Somatic release involves bringing sensory awareness into our systems  -- body, mind, heart, spirit.

The majority of the body’s functioning occurs at an unconscious level, our instincts and autonomic systems operating with speed, and when healthy, a remarkable precision.

A Sensing Circle (For Somatic Release and Regulation) is an interactive class that teaches participants how to work with their own body to release tension, reduce pain, and balance emotional and physical energy.

The Circle incorporates stillness, movement, breath, touch, expression and play to facilitate nervous system release and regulation.  We use our own gentle touch on skin, awareness of our breath, and easy movement to facilitate nervous system release.  This experience can be as subtle as a deeper breath, or as profound as an inspiring epiphany in the heart.

Based on teachings about the physiology of trauma, many of the simple techniques shared can be incorporated into your ongoing personal wellness practice. (See the Resources/ page for more information about the inspiration, teachers and resources that inform this work.)

This class is suitable for any body, any age. $12 50 Minute Class
