Sensing the Signs That Guide Us

A Wanderer’s Way Workshop: An Integrative Approach for Recognizing the Signs that Guide Us

International Association of Dreams

We know when we experience something meaningful.  Even when we don’t have the words, we know.  We know because our body tells us.  It tells us through sensation.  It is the feeling of luck, synchronicity, coincidence.  It is the feeling of coming across a personal totem, or perhaps an omen.   It is the feeling of waking up from a dream with no idea about where it came from or what it means, but knowing that it was a BIG one!

There are many names for this kind of knowing: inner voice, inner wisdom, intuition, gut feeling, inner truth This voice is expressed through somatic sensation: fluttering in the belly, a heavy heart, an open heart, the sensation of electricity running through the veins.

A Wanderer’s Way is an experiential offering using somatic resonance and release techniques to facilitate insight regarding signs we sense are important but that we don’t  understand.

Participants will be introduced to foundational concepts for this offering pertaining to sensation, discernment, noticing, resistance and creativity derived from the IChing, systems theory, and emerging science related to the nervous system and neuroplasticity (i.e., uppPolyvagal Theory, Social Engagement Stimulation, Psychoneuroenergetics).

Everyone will have an opportunity to work with their own material through a guided somatic experience using sound, attention, breath and sensation. Integration/processing through creative practice and sharing will follow.
